Vince Seward

Vince Seward grew up on Main Street in Crawfordsville, Indiana. He comes from a non-traditional agricultural background. Through his involvement with Boy Scouts and 4-H he found his love for the outdoors. Vince started his education at Purdue University in the forestry department and later transferred to agricultural department and received his bachelor’s degree in 1985. While at Purdue he was a member of the Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity. During college he owned a DJ business and was involved in various organizations on campus.
Vince has called Carroll County home for over 30 years. He resides in Flora with his wife Dawn. Vince has four children, Brett lives in Portland, Oregon, Owen and Jenna are both at Purdue University studying agricultural business, and Ben is a 5th grader at Carroll Elementary. Vince’s hobbies include beekeeping, gardening, and woodworking.
In 1985 Vince started his career at Carroll County Co-op managing the energy department. Shortly after arriving at the Co-op the Board of Directors gave Vince the challenge of starting the propane service. Vince was able to build the propane department into a profitable and successful business unit for the cooperative. Vince’s 36 year career consists of 26 years in the energy department and 10 years with Co-Alliance in the agronomy department in Bringhurst, Indiana.
Vince is an active member of Flora United Methodist church where he has served as Administrative Chair and is currently on the Trustee Board. Vince has served on the Flora Town Council for 11 years and three years as Town Council President.
