2023 Rick Roach

Rick has been a lifelong resident of Carroll County Indiana, born January 18,1960, to Richard and Gretchen Roach. He has been blessed to have grown up on a grain and livestock farm with the many lessons that come from milking cows to helping plant and harvest a crop.

Rick’s father instilled a passion for farming into Rick at an early age. Rick is the fifth generation of the Roach Family farming in Jefferson Township.

Rick’s education started at Yeoman elementary, and Rick is a 1978 graduate of Twin Lakes High School. Rick enjoyed playing football, basketball and track, and was awarded a scholarship to attend Stetson University where he received a BS degree in Business Administration in 1982.

Rick returned to the farm and married Sharon Knauer on September 1, 1984. They have three children: Courtney, Richard, and Briana.

Life lessons which have come from 4H, high school and college athletics, coaching freshmen football and basketball and being an active member of Zion Bethel Church of Monticello have been invaluable. Rick enjoys watching his family grow, the continuation of the family farm, following sporting events, and teaching God’s Word in our Sunday school classes.

The farm now has the sixth generation operating it; Kyle Dyer, wife Courtney, and their boys; Braxton, Barrick, and Bodie. Richard Roach, wife Stephanie and their children; Ezra and Elyse. The whole family enjoys the benefits of farm life, and continues the desire is to be progressive adaptors of technologies which are practical and allow us to stay competitive in this great business of American agriculture, as we strive to be good stewards of what God has entrusted to them!
