Indiana Packers Corporation has grown from a start-up operation in 1991 with a production capacity of 4,200 hogs per day to a leading processor of premium pork products in the United States. With a current daily production capacity of 16,800 hogs and processing over three million pounds of pork daily, Indiana Packers ranks as one of the top ten pork processing plants in the U.S., accounting for 4% of the federally inspected hogs slaughtered. In order to maintain its leadership role in the industry, Indiana Packers has recently invested over a hundred million dollars in new construction and plant improvements and modernization to insure the production of safe, premium, high quality pork products.
IPC has been recognized as being one of the safest slaughtering plants in the industry by the American Meat Institute standards, recording injury rates as low or lower than many office environments. The Company’s dedicated workforce of over 1,600 people pride themselves in the work, their products, and the customers they serve. IPC sells pork products to retailers, wholesalers, and food service customers both within the United States and in more than 25 countries around the world. The company sells bacon, hams, sausage and other pork products under the Indiana Kitchen brand name. However, the company’s hardwood smoked bacon is the company’s flagship product.
