he accepted a position as a hog buyer for Kingan & Company in

buyer at the Indianapolis Stockyards. In January of 1960, Joe was
transferred to the Camden Stockyards to open a hog buying station.

In 1965 Joe started working for Camden State Bank and transferred
to Bright National Bank in 1973. After six years, he moved back to
Camden State Bank and retired as president in 1991. A couple years
later he was lured back to Bright National Bank in 1993 and then
retired from there in 1999.

Joe married Barbara Schock in May of 1957. They have 2
children, a son, Brian and a daughter, Beth. Brian & Robin have 2
girls and a boy and Beth and Jerry have 2 boys. Joe and Barb spend
their winters in North Fort Myers, Florida and the summers at home
