Farm Service Agency and Natural Resources Conservation Service will hold a joint public meeting on Thursday April 2, 2009 at 6:30 pm at the Wabash and Erie Canal Center in Delphi, Indiana. Major Farm Bill program changes will be presented, including the latest information on the Average Crop Revenue Election (ACRE) Program. Meeting in sponsored by Carroll County Soil and Water Conservation District. Light refreshments will be available.

On July 19, 2008 a Livestock Emergency Response Training program was presented by Jennifer Woods to a group of interested responders at Excel Co-op. Indiana Packers, Tyson Foods, JBS United, TDM Hog Slat and Excel Co-op sponsored the training for about 30 people. Fire Dept., Police Dept., truckers and swine management personnel developed response protocol and procedures.
Items covered were: Behavior and handling, responding to livehaul incidents, recognizing injury and euthanasia, chain of command, public relations, security and what to have in the rescue unit. Lunch was provided by the Carroll County Ag. Association.

The Finance and Fund Raising Committee will approve budgets, prepare financial reports for presentation to the Board, and monitor the fiscal soundness of the Corporation. This Committee will also assist with fund raising activities to improve the fiscal well-being of the Corporation, as well as for public benefit and scholarships
