Pandemic Livestock Indemnity

For any livestock farmer who suffered losses because of access to processing facilities during the pandemic, the UDSA has a financial assistance program.

PLIP provides financial assistance to support producers of eligible swine, chickens, and turkeys depopulated from March 1, 2020, through December 26, 2020. To be eligible, depopulation of your poultry or livestock must have been due to insufficient processing access resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. Livestock and poultry also must have been physically located in the United States or a territory of the United States at the time of depopulation.

OISC Pesticide Clean Sweep

The Office of the Indiana State Chemist is sponsoring an Indiana Pesticide Clean Sweep in August. This is your opportunity to safely dispose of chemicals. The service is free for up to 250 pounds of chemicals, and $2.00 per pound charge, thereafter.

Pre-registration is required by August 6.

See the flowchart below to walk through whether you might qualify for PPP #1, an increase in PPP #1, or PPP#2. Loan applications are being accepted NOW – contact your banker immediately to start the process.

NOTE: According to the December 23 Tax Act (CARES update), PPP income is NOT taxable, but expenses paid with PPP dollars are fully deductible.
