Support Carroll County Right to Farm
The Carroll County Area Plan Commission has approved and recommended an amendment to the Agriculture Zonining Ordinance that supports the Indiana Right to Farm Act. The intent of the ordinance (attached below) is “to reduce the loss to Carroll County of its agriculture resources by limiting the circumstances under which farming may be deemed a nuisance and to allow agriculture practices iherent to and necessary for the business of farming to proceed and be undertaken free of unreasonable and unwarrented interference or restriction”
Attached is the full agriculture zoning ordinance. Only the first 3 1/2 pages are new language – the rest is included for your information so you can review the current Carroll County Agriculture zoning.
Please contact your County Commissioner and tell him that you support the Carroll County Right to Farm Ordinance.
