Harvest Safety Tips for Drivers
- Slow down and pay attention to the road.
- Be cautious when approaching trucks and equipment parked by the side of the road – there could be pedestrians nearby!
- Watch for road signs. Stop and LOOK at intersections.
- Don’t make the assumption that the farmer knows you are there. If you can’t see the farmer’s face, the farmer can’t see you!
- Follow from a distance.
- Use extreme caution when passing. DO NOT PASS when approaching intersections!
- Be patient with the farmer.
