Young Ladies of Agriculture Event – February 21

Purdue Extension is excited to invite young ladies (grades 8-12) to the 2018 Young Ladies of Agriculture event at the Midwest Women in Ag. Conference on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, beginning at 4:30 pm at the Horizons Convention Center in Muncie, IN.

Information has been sent to all Ag. Teachers across the state via the AgEd List Serve.  However, we were hoping you would reach out to the Ag. Teachers in your county and encourage participation.  If the Young Ladies of Ag. event could also be included in your newsletters or sent directly to young ladies you think would benefit from the event, it would be much appreciated.

This year’s them is CHASE your passion, FIND your purpose!  Katie Dilse will be the evening’s keynote speaker and this will be her topic.  Katie’s goal for her presentation will be to encourage young ladies of agriculture by giving them “a bit of zest for their heart, food for their souls, and permission to find success and impact in agriculture.”  Katie is even a former FFA member form North Dakota!  If you would like to learn more about Katie, her website is http://www.katiedilse.com/.

The event will also include a panel of women who are actively pursuing their passions in agriculture.  Young ladies will participate in a scavenger hunt for some fabulous door prizes.  The evening will conclude with dinner and presentations from Indiana FFA State Officers, Claire Baney and Natalie Taylor.

Cost for the event is $10/young lady.  Each group of young ladies can have one adult attend for free.

See flyers below for more detail and registration information.
