Purdue webinar to provide latest water quality information
WEST LAFAYETTE, Indiana. –
In the past few years, livestock producers have become increasingly more concerned with water quality issues. Poor water quality can lead to increased incidence of disease and reduced animal performance. To help producers, veterinarians and students stay informed about the latest water quality developments, Purdue’s animal science department will host a free webinar October 27th on water quality and swine production.
Speakers are:
* Brian Richert, associate professor of animal sciences. “What are the water quality issues for swine?”
* Ernest Blatchley III, associate professor of Professor, School of Civil Engineering and Division of Environmental & Ecological Engineering. “Water Treatment for Hog Production Operations”
