Emerging Ag Technology and Soil Health Workshop – August 26

The Clinton County SWCD, in partnership with the Greater Wabash River Resource Conservation and Development Council, will be co-hosting a regional Soil Health Workshop at the Tippecanoe County 4H Fairgrounds on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 from 8:30am-3:00pm.  Speakers from across the Midwest will be on hand to discuss current soil health topics and precision ag technologies.

Speakers will include Indiana no-till farmer Mike Starkey, IUPUI researcher Bob Barr, USDA-NRCS Northwest Area Resource Soil Scientist Mike Wigginton, Beck’s Adviser Jim Love, and VP of Analytics at AgSolver Inc. Dr. David Muth.

Topics will include:

  • Practical Conservation Cropping Systems,
  • Agriculture Edge-of-Field Water Monitoring,
  • Advanced Soil Tests – Beyond N-P-K,
  • Drones for Practical Farm Research, and
  • Precision Profitability Mapping for Enhanced Conservation Cropping.

Folks interested in attending should RSVP to their local Soil and Water Conservation (Benton, Carroll, Clinton, Howard, & Tippecanoe Counties).
