Here are the latest reminders for the upcoming deadlines in Carroll County.
1.) IMPORTANT! Call our office to make an appointment to certify your acres as soon as possible! We are already booked into next week so call to get your appointment now. Your acreage needs to be reported to us by July 15th. You will need to bring your list of planting dates and crops for the appointment.
2.) Farm Program Signup for DCP programs is underway. The DCP sign up period will end August 2nd. The 2013 DCP program provisions are unchanged from 2012. ACRE Signup has ended but you may still enroll in the DCP Farm Program. There will be no advance payments again this year. Producers need to call to make appointments to sign up. 765-564-2849 x2
3.) DON’T FORGET! If you were enrolled in the ACRE Program last year (even if you choose not to enroll this year), you will still need to report your 2012 production to our office by July 15th. Call or email if you have questions on how to do this.
4.) The final date to request a reconstitution of your farm (owner/operator changes, any land boundary changes) is August 1st. Make sure you request your recon by this date so you can still sign up for the farm program.
5.) The County Committee (COC) is holding the 2013 election for the townships of Clay, Jackson, Liberty, Madison, and Monroe. If you live in one of these townships and would like to run for the COC, or if you would like to nominate someone, please email or call me and I can send you a nomination form and give more information. Nominations will be due August 1st.
