Property Tax Advisory

From your Indiana Farm Bureau

A general reassessment has been in progress for the last several months and your county assessor must provide notice of assessment changes. Taxpayers in some counties may have already received notices of assessment for March 1, 2012, payable in 2013 from their county assessor. County Farm Bureaus are advised to encourage all members to pay close attention to the real property values on their Notice of Assessment (Form 11) because members in a few counties are reporting large increases to the value of agricultural buildings in addition to the already anticipated farmland value increases. Farm Bureau members are urged to pay strict attention to these notices of assessment, to ask questions of the county assessor about how their values were determined and to appeal their assessment if it seems unreasonable.  For more information you can contact Katrina Hall via email at the IFB, or by phone at 317-692-7805

Carroll County Property Tax Assessments went out September 4, 2012.   You have 45 days to file a notice with the County Assessor’s Office.
