Grain Storage Rescue Training

December 8, 10, and 11 at the

Purdue Agronomy Farm.

Purdue is holding three training dates for Fire/Rescue, Grain Elevator operators and farm operators. This training class will provide FIRE/Rescue and EMS personnel, Grain Elevator Employees, and Farm Operators with a better understanding of strategies for preventing and responding to grain-related entrapments, including partial and full engulfment’s. This class will be most beneficial for those with limited agricultural or grain handling experience. This course will cover the primary causes of grain-related entrapments, grain storage design and operation, state of the art rescue strategies, and first-responder injury prevention. Demonstrations and hands on experiences will be provided.
