2010 EQIP Guidelines Available

2010 Guidelines for the EQIP program are available.   EQIP is a voluntary conservation program that promotes agricultural production, forest management, and environmental quality as compatible national goals. EQIP offers financial and technical help to assist eligible participants to install or implement conservation practices on eligible agricultural and forest land.

The guidelines identify the practices (and the payment rates) that are eligible for this year’s program.  Producers are encouraged to review the list of eligible practices and contact Joe O’Donnell at the SWCD office if they see anything that might benefit them.

The national office has informed that they want all 2010 EQIP funds obligated into contracts by April 1, 2010. It would be a great idea for interested applicants to contact Joe O’Donnell  before the end of February.

The Guidelines are posted on the Indiana NRCD website:  Indiana NRCS EQIP Homepage

Guidelines are also available in this PDF document:  2010_EQIP_Guidelines

Please contact Joe O’Donnell at the SWCD Office (765-564-4480) if you have any questions.
