Fall Farm Safety Tip

Consider test harvesting corn rows at the end of the fields, particularly at road corners to improve visibility for motorists at the time of year when there is increased truck and tractor traffic.

Farmers Be Alert! On-Farm Thefts in Carroll County


Carroll Co. Sheriff’s department asked the Ag Association to relay a message to area farmers concerning a recent theft on a hog facility in Carroll County. They wanted the farmers to be reminded that they need to improve security and keep a closer eye on their property with the increased thefts in steel, animals, and fuel. If a farmer has an occurrence they would appreciate being notified so they can keep a log on this activity.

Reminder from the Area Plan Office

The Area Plan Office has asked the CCAA to remind livestockproducers that proof of notification for application of pre-permit confined feeding construction is required within 60 days of application for the permit. Please return the “return receipts” to the APC office within the deadline. If you have any questions, call the Area Plan Director at 765-564-4468 (or, they will be calling you!).
