USDA-FSA SURE Program Now Available

USDA FSA imagesSupplemental Revenue Assistance Payment (SURE) program is now available.  Producers are encouraged to sign up at the county FSA office.

SURE provides crop disaster assistance payments to eligible producers on farms that have incurred crop production or crop quality losses. The program takes into consideration crop losses on all crops grown by a producer nationwide. SURE provides assistance in an amount equal to 60 percent of the difference between the SURE farm guarantee and total farm revenue.

The SURE assistance program will address those crops in Indiana that were associated with the historic flooding that occurred in 2008. In Indiana, every county potentially has farms that could be eligible due to the Secretarial-declared disaster areas that were issued in 2008.

More information is available from the Press Release or call the FSA office.
